Keep Up with Lake Norman's Moves

During an increasingly divisive and contentious election year in the US, Mooresville has just finished a local election that should make voters on both sides of the political aisle happy - they just voted in Reya the 12-year-old pit bull as the 2024-25 dog mayor of Mooresville! You can learn more about this candidate here and expect to see her making appearances at Mooresville events throughout the next year.

I’ve read all of the local headlines so you don’t have to.

NCDOT has awarded a Cabarrus County firm a $20.8 million contract in roadway development to improve traffic flow in Huntersville and Cornelius.

A new section of the Torrence Creek Greenway in Huntersville has opened, not only connecting previously developed areas together, but also showcasing a public art exhibit in a tunnel on the trail.

A drug trafficker who targeted youth has pleaded guilty and been sentenced in Cornelius.

Huntersville leaders have just approved a new hourly fee that will be levied for public records requests that some are questioning the legality of.

Don’t miss these events coming to a community near you!

Some events require attendees to purchase tickets beforehand. Please check each event individually for specific ticket sale information and other important details.
